Bringing boundless creativity, enthusiasm and love of music to performances!
My name is Réiltín (pronounced "rail-teen!") and I’m a harpist based in Edinburgh.

I am originally from Ireland, where I completed my Bachelor of Honours degree in Music at Trinity College Dublin. It was here I was awarded the prodigious Foundation Scholarship in Music in 2009, which enabled me to undertake postgraduate studies where I explored my interests in Medieval Music. I later went on to further my music studies in the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary, where I was awarded the Sarolta Kodály Scholarship. Here I broadened my musical skillset in the areas of performance, conducting, ensemble music making and teaching, graduating in 2016 with a Master's in Kodály Pedagogy.

I am a classically-trained musician by trade with a great love of Medieval, Renaissance, Romantic and Contemporary music, but over the years I have followed my interests and curiosities towards different styles. I have consistently broadened my musical focus, and today enjoy moving between music of a wide variety of styles from pop and rock to jazz, as well as playing around with improvisation and sound, and putting together concert programmes that invite others to share in new and exciting musical experiences.

Since moving to Edinburgh in 2018, I have been getting to know the traditional music of Scotland and enjoy the challenge of arranging new traditional music I discover, or music from films and video games which often holds a special place in people's hearts and memories.

I am also a qualified music therapist and am regularly involved with choral and vocal ensemble projects in Scotland as a singer, having performed internationally throughout Ireland, Germany, Austria and Hungary. My core focus, however, is the harp and my broad interests, experience and enthusiasm motivate me to find innovative ways to incorporate the harp into music making across different settings.
